巴斯蒂尔’s very foundation is built upon a tradition of research in the natural health arts and sciences. Our focus is on student-centered, faculty-mentored research in the form of capstone, master’s theses and individual faculty-mentored research projects. In recognition that research has often bypassed or inappropriately utilized BIPOC communities, 巴斯蒂尔 has a stated objective to focus on best practices in diversity, 公平与包容, and in generating research with intrinsic benefit to traditionally marginalized and underserved communities.

巴斯蒂尔 University 研究 Institute was established in 1986 and was the first natural health university research unit to receive a National Institutes of Health grant. 巴斯蒂尔 researchers have received millions of dollars in research funding for a diverse set of initiatives across the natural health spectrum.
